ZDF launches Catch-Up Mobile TV Service
Renowned catch-up TV service Mediathek is to be made available on mobile devices by German public broadcaster, ZDF.
An initial ‘honey-moon’ period will be offered by ZDF for their highly anticipated new app with use of the catch - up service being free-of-charge upon launch.
The app will be offered for devices operating with iOS (Apple) and Android (Google) including the iPhone and iPad, with further versions to launch in the coming months..
Users will be able to view selected full-length programmes of the main channel and digital sister services ZDFneo, ZDFkultur and ZDFinfo after their initial TV broadcast free of charge - while on the go.
Other features include highlight packages from shows as well as recommendations for other viewing that is thought to be desirable to the user.
