New Mobile TV Network for Thailand
Plans to deploy a Thai mobile TV network, based on the China Mobile Media Broadcast (CMMB), surfaced today.
North American based group Telairity will join forces with CBC, to install the revolutionary network that could be broadcast across the continent.
CBC, a Chinese company, rose to prominence earlier this year after it launched one of the world's largest CMMB mobile TV broadcasts, with the capacity to transmit signals to a billion people.
CBC has been given the golden nod by China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), giving early indications that the new proposed network for Thailand has the backing it needs to be a success.
The network is to go live in Bangkok in March of this year.
