Vodafone Spain Launches Mobile TV App
Vodafone's customers can now watch live broadcasts on their mobiles after it was announced Vodafone Spain is launching a mobile TV application for Android.
Depending on what packages customers select they will be able to enjoy live broadcasts of Champions League football and popular animated series like SpongeBob.
Iñaki Cabrera, Director of Internet on the Mobile Services of Vodafone Spain believes the package is the best on the market:
The Vodafone TV application provides a high quality offering with access to all the live broadcasts of major channels like Gol Televisión, Antena 3, Telecinco or laSexta.
The download of the new Vodafone Television application is available for free on the Android Market. The price for accessing the packages is €0.99 a week for Gol Televisión, with the first week free, and €1.5 a week for the 10 Vodafone TV channels, also with the first week free.
Mr Cabrera emphasised the point that Vodafone had been meaning to launch such an operation for sometime but were restricted by the technology available.
Even though the concept of TV on the mobile has been around for several years, it is now, thanks to the sound and image quality available on smartphones, that user experience has become really satisfactory. Now we can enjoy the same content and channels as the ones we see at home, from our mobiles.
