Android joins Symbian, Windows and Blackberry as mobile operating systems compatible with ROK TV

ROK Entertainment Group, the mobile technologies, applications and services company has today announced its award-winning mobile TV service, ROK TV, is compatible with the fast-growing Google Android operating system.

Able to stream high quality video content live and on-demand to mobile phones, ROK TV is already compatible with Symbian, Windows and Blackberry operating systems.

“We are delighted to have developed ROK TV to work on Google Android handsets as this opens up an important new delivery channel for the continued deployment of ROK TV to mobile operators worldwide.” Said Jonathan Kendrick, Chairman and CEO of ROK.

Most famous for its Mobile TV service which streams video over mass-market 2.5G as well 3G and Wi-Fi, ROK Entertainment Group has amassed a wide-ranging portfolio of revenue-generating mobile services, from mobile comics to push email solutions and mobile/web converged services via Wi-Fi, which it licenses to Operators and Handset manufacturers around the world.

In addition, ROK are marketing an increasing number of free-to-use, advertising-funded, mobile services direct to consumers via selected application stores such as Nokia's Ovi Store.
