Five Offers Live Football on iPhone

Channel Five is to become the first UK broadcaster to offer live football via an iPhone application.

The first game features live coverage of Celtic v Rapid Vienna via an iPhone app, the application goes live on the 1st of October for the Europa League game between Celtic and Rapid Vienna at Celtic Park.

The new service has been developed in association with Livestation, the internet TV specialist and is available only to iPhone and iPod Touch owners in the UK.

For a one-off fee of £3.99, subscribers will be able to watch every one of Channel Fives Thursday night Europa League fixtures and highlights of the games for the duration of the 2009/10 tournament.

The service is available on wifi and 3G connections.
